Biography

Vijoy K. V. is currently working as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Inter University Centre for Nanomaterials and Devices (IUCND) under the supervision of Prof. Honey John, where he focuses on device fabrication and characterization.

He completed his Ph.D. on the topic "Engineering Flexible Elastomeric-Based Triboelectric Nanogenerators for Self-Powered Sensing and Tribotronic Applications." Under the guidance of Dr. Saji K J and Prof. Honey John. During his research, he designed and fabricated several high-performance triboelectric impact sensors aimed at applications in sports technology, home security, road safety, Healthcare, and wearable tactile sensing. He also has expertise in Polymer fabrication, nanomaterials synthesis, COMSOL Multiphysics simulations, LabVIEW and Python

His research interests include polymer film fabrication, 2D film fabrication, Thin film transistor, triboelectric energy harvesting, soft electronics, and sustainable material development for wearable, self-powered sensing systems and tribotronics etc. His hands-on experience also includes RF magnetron sputtering, thermal evaporation, data acquisition and processing, integration with microcontrollers (Arduino), IoT integration, and electrospinning.
