Dr. Abdul Khayum Mohammed
Biography

Dr Abdul Khayum Mohammed received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in chemistry from St. Thomas College, Trichur (2012) and Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT), Cochin (2014), India, respectively. After qualifying for all India joint CSIR-UGC National Eligibility Test (NET-JRF), he moved to CSIR-National Chemical Laboratory, Pune, to pursue his Ph.D. (with Prof Rahul Banerjee) and received his degree in 2019. He pursued postdoctoral research at Khalifa University, AbuDhabi before moving to New York University AbuDhabi to work as a research scientist. He has worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the Khalifa University, Abu Dhabi. Currently, he is working as a postdoctoral fellow in the Inter University Centre for Nanomaterials and Devices (IUCND), CUSAT, Cochin. His current research focuses on developing functional porous materials for energy-related applications.
